A few weeks ago, I ran a posting about a Lincoln Town Shorty, appropriately called the Missing Linc, and our faithful readers thought it was an abomination. So, I’m never shy about dipping into the controversy again, only this time, I want to introduce you to the “Half-A-Cadi”. This is a 1991 FWD Cadillac Sedan DeVille that has undergone significant surgery… So, what do you think of this Shorty DeVille? This particular Craigslist Listing is very short (pun intended) and to the point:
ONE OF A KIND “CADILLAC COUP”—SEDAN DEVILLE SHORTED 33 INCHES!! “DOOR ECTOMY” SHAVING 500LBS OFF THE CAR. A BLAST TO DRIVE–FAST!! AND GETS 32MPG HWY, IF YOU DRIVE 55-60 OR 28MPG GOING 75MPG. AWESOME CORNERING ABILITY WITH SHORT WHEEL BASE. ALL CADILLAC, BUT NO DOUBLE DATING! TRADES OK–WHAT DO YOU HAVE? COME ON, HAVE SOME FUN!
OK, so there are a couple of questions that I have about this thing… Like, how well are things like Fuel Lines, Brake Lines, and the actual Welds to keep the body together holding up? I am not at all convinced about the safety of this car for general use, unlike that Lincoln which was still mounted on a Frame of some sort. Anyway, the asking price to “Get Shorty” is $2,150, which I think is about a couple grand too high… But what do you think? Take a look at the Appleton Craigslist Listing here, and express your thoughts on this “Half-A-Cadi”…
