The Stunt Driver Will Be A Must-See Film

Remember that wild story about Canadian stuntman Ken Carter? You definitely know that story if you’ve been lurking around these parts for long enough. If his name doesn’t ring a bell, the phrase St. Lawrence River Jump should.

Ken Carter is the man who attempted to jump a car more than a mile. His mode of transport? A rocket-powered Lincoln Continental with small wings. As you should remember, Carter attempted the jump with his car shooting off a 1,400-foot ramp and taking to the sky, only to break apart in the air.

Carter was injured in the crash, but lived. He attempted another jump years later, which sadly took his life. But what a wild life he lived. And that St. Lawrence River jump is set to become cinema history with a new movie.

Jay Baruchel takes on the role of Ken Carter in the film The Stunt Driver. Ben Foster and Ed Helms are also set to star in the movie. Check out the trailer above.

The film comes out September 25th, and I can’t wait to see it. Baruchel is a great actor, and this story needs to be told to a larger audience.

I shared the news with Hooniverse Co-Founder Tim Odell (Mad_Science), and he replied, “It’s Titanic for men…” which is a perfect description.
