Let’s start this weekend with some luxury in the form of these Broughams that were highlighted on the Brougham Society Facebook Page recently. As we all know in the blogging community, the fascination for the Brougham started with Murilee Martin on Jalopnik a few years ago, and the flame has been carried on since within the Facebook Community, The Truth about Cars Website, and even here on Hooniverse. Now, is that really a bad thing? Let me start out with this 1978 Pontiac Bonneville Brougham from Spokane Washington. According to the Craigslist Listing:
For sale: 1978 Pontiac Bonneville Brougham. Extremely good condition inside and out. New tires, new oil and filter, newer battery. All the power options and all work. Vinyl top is in perfect condition. Factory mags with stainless rings in great shape. Air conditioning blows cold. Been garaged most of it’s life. NADA blue book lists car between $2300-$5000.
The car is showing only 63,700 Miles, and is in lovely shape. Asking price for this Brougham is $3,500! That isn’t really a lot to ask for a car that looks to be in great shape, but what do you think? See the Spokane Craigslist Listing Here. Here is a 1977 Lincoln Continental Town Car, one of the last ones that were really big. According to the Craigslist Listing:
All original 77 lincoln town car continental with 73,000 original miles. 7.5 liter(460) V-8 Big Block motor. New spark plugs, distributor cap&rotor button, brand new set of tires, new fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor, new alternator&battery, new windshield wiper motor&switch, and new gas tank o-ring. Interior of car is in excellent condition. Original paint and vinyl top. All working power seats and windows. Drives and rides like a dream!
This shows 73,000 miles on the odometer, and once again it looks to be in Great Shape. Asking Price for this Town Car (and it has been reduced!) is $3,200, which really isn’t a lot of money for this gigantic car at all. See the Norfolk VA Craigslist Listing here. Let’s stay in 1977, only this time here is a much more desirable 1977 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe. This is very desirable in Taupe and Brown, and according to the Listing:
For sale is a 1977 Lincoln continental town coupe with 43,700 actual miles. My dad purchased this from the original owner last year, must sell due to loss of storage. It is all original, and garaged its whole life, including now. Has the 460 V8, all power and leather top. This car is very nice, runs and drives well. Hard to find well cared for classic.
With under 44,000 miles, this car looks great, and the asking price is $2,950, which places this car as the bargain of the four. What’s not to like, unless you’re un-american… See the Twin Falls Craigslist Listing here. Last, but certainly not least is this 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood finished in a very good looking Burgundy color. According to the Craigslist listing:
Selling my beautiful 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham I bought it from the original owner who hardly ever drove it. The car only has 35k miles on it its paint looks brand new and the interior is also flawless. I hate to sell this car as I know I will never find another one but I need the money so its up for sale finding a Brougham with chrome wheels a tow package and never had a tow hitch put on and only 35k miles is impossible and wont happen again. I’m open to reasonable offers.
This is one of the last full sized Fleetwoods and this one looks to be in incredible shape, and the asking price is a very reasonable $8,500. With under 35,000 miles, and a GM LT-1 V-8, I would almost call this an elegant Muscle Car, so take a look at the Worcester Craigslist Listing here.
