Tanner Godfrey set out to go flying. Not in an airplane, mind you, but in his modified Polaris RZR. Godfrey pointed the nose of his side-by-side at a massive jump and punched the throttle. Despite the wind working against him, he cleanly flew 247 feet through the air. This returns the long-distance UTV record to his name, and he needed to beef up that RZR to get it.
According to Jalopnik, the mighty mini machine features a custom suspension setup, BFGoodrich MK3 tires, and a full roll cage. About that suspension… Godfrey needed every bit of it upon landing.
I can’t lie. A slammed RZR actually looks pretty great. Perhaps someone should setup a version for road racing just to see what it can do.
Congrats Tanner on your insane stunt. You’ve certainly earned that record jump back with your mega send.
Pretty sure I jumped the RZR 2.47 feet one.
This is gonna be a big ‘ol no for me…but it’s pretty damn impressive.
You got like three feet of air that time. Can I try it really quick?
Still comedic gold. Forgot how funny that movie is…
Damn but that was funny– I’d completely forgotten. I need to re-watch. In 15 years, I’m sure most scenes would seem new to me.
Indeed, it has aged well. I forgot that my avatar here was from another Jared Hess movie.
In my Baja video, there’s a jump where it feels like I got a ton of air… it couldn’t have been much, I fought a back and forth fishtail when I landed, and it was still awesome.
