This is a great chance to pick up an example of a truck you’re not likely to run across very often. The 1973 International Wagonmaster is a truck-ified version of the Travelall. Not a ton of these were built. Not a ton likely remain roaming around. But here’s one in prime shape to serve as a proper driver. It’s being listed for sale on Craigslist for a good chunk after what it sold for on Bring-A-Trailer just two years prior.

The seller states they bought the truck for $37,000 (which seems a bit steep to me) with the intention of fully restoring it. They have other projects, so this one got pushed to the wayside, and now they’d like to move on from it. It runs and drives and has a few rust spots, just like pretty much every IH on the planet. But as it sits, it looks pretty damn cool, and as far as a vehicle for the Hooniverse, looks immaculate.
The asking price is now $23,000. That seems more in line with where this belongs, even if it is a rare machine. Internationals don’t typically command top dollar in the vintage truck and SUV market. That said, you might be jumping on a rising trend if you get in now. With the pending resurrection of Scout as a new brand, there could be renewed interest in the OGs of the IH family.

Someone out there needs to jump on this ASAP. Otherwise, I’m sure one of the restomod companies is itching to put terrible wheels on it, add diamond-quilted leather seats, Dakota Digital gauges, and an LS3, and then say it’s worth $250,000. I wouldn’t be upset with the LS3, but everything else about this truck is perfect as it sits.
