One of my favorite builds on the Tubes of You, right now, happens to be moving along at an impressive pace. A pair of friends have taken a 6.8-liter Ford V10 engine and stuffed it into the nose of a 2017 Lincoln Continental. The car has arrived at the stage where it’s drivable, which means the world wants to see what sort of power it produces. A trip to the dyno is in order, so that’s what Build It Yourself shows off in their latest video.
The car makes amazing noises. But does it make any power? Absolutely. The first pull before any tuning shows 450 hp at the wheels. Eventually, they push the rev limit to north of 7k and get closer to 500 wheel horsepower, and torque clears the 400 lb-ft mark. The best part? Everything held together.
This build delivers, so far. Awesome work to the two dudes making it all happen.
WANT.
That noise is incredible, isn’t it?
