Have I told you that we have the best readers on the web? Without them, the weekends here would be, well, less exciting than they are. Here is an example: We received this tip from Craig (Thanks Man!) about a Range Rover Stretch Limo that was suppose to have appeared in the Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels comedy, Dumb and Dumber. So would you want to own this piece of Movie Memorabilia?
According to the listing:
I have a 1989 range rover limo that is in good condition. 4wheel drive works great has a brand new set of Toyo all terrain tires on it. Limo was just recently serviced at shop that specializes in import vehicles. Has a luggage and ski rack on the roof. If interested text me at 303-XXX-XXXX for more pictures or information. Limo was used in the movie dumb and dumber.
I had to look it up, but it appears the seller is correct, it did appear in the movie. The asking price for this very long Range Rover is $5,000. A standard Range Rover of this vintage could command the same sum of money, so it seems to be priced right. However, what kind of compromises were made to the structural integrity of the vehicle to make it into a limousine, and how will it hold up in the future? If it's been done well, I suppose I can't argue with the price. If it hasn't, it's worth about as much as any Range Rover sold for spares.

I bet if you just used it to shuttle rich skiers around town during snow season, the stretched/stability issues wouldn't be much of a problem…
