If you’re not already subscribed to the baremetalHW channel, you need to fix that immediately. The person behind this corner of the Internet is a wizard when it comes to all things Hot Wheels. Some of my favorite videos on the channel are those focusing on the restoration on various cars in the channel owners collection.
Today’s video shows baremetalHW bringing a 1968 Custom Camaro Redline back to life. The initial car is incredibly rough, but the finished product is amazing.

I’ve been following his channel for a while.
Good stuff. -
Wait, he has 82 videos and over 4 million views? Wow, talk about your niche hobbies. It’s kind of cool in passing, but I’d personally need to scratch sooo many things off my bucket list before even thinking about die-cast toy car restoration longer than the time it took to watch this video.

You got to appreciate the BaT-lingo though, “no missing parts”, “find a donor car”, “originality”. Fun insight into a non-bucket-list activity.

At 1:64 scale, is a halfway-decent amateur restoration referred to as a “3¾-incher”?

Ran when thrown into a Rubbermaid tub with assorted Lego and G.I. Joe’s missing left hand.

I’d be happy with a niche of 4 million views.

lifetime views – really depends on the total time the channel has been up for a better appreciation.

FYI, that’s better than our view to video ratio…
We have nearly 200 videos, and a little over 6MM views. -
Oh, I’d never do this. But I find it fascinating to watch.

Oh man, that was one of my favorites. Mine was in about the same condition when I was done with it.
