Have you ever tried to cram yourself into the third row of a modern Crossover like a Toyota Rav-4 or Mitsubishi Outland? It’s as though the designers expected you to leave your legs – and the top of your head – at home. Of course back in the sixties when categories were simpler, and car makers were unencumbered by distractions such as safety concerns, they designed cars you could stretch out in, like the handsome and commodious Chevy II wagon. And this was a compact!
