Some of our Monday Music videos are relevant because they have cool cars in them. Others are because they are tunes you want to have in your cool car, while laying down the miles. This barn burner by the amazing French singer Izia Higelin – appropriately named Burning – is one of the latter. Higelin is the daughter of ’70s French pop singer Jacques Higelin and sister to Arthur H, so she knows her stuff. 

Much like Cher or Madonna, Higelin works professionally under her first name only- Izia. She is also Frencher than a kiss with a tongue in it, but her songs are belted out in English- and man, can she belt. Today’s video is an amateur one, and the sound gets funky part of the way through, but if you are looking for something to get your heart pounding to start the week off then you’ll need look no further than just beyond the jump.
