Perhaps the most memorable – and butt-clenchingly horrifying – scene in the 1986 film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is the one in which the Ferrari owned by Cameron’s Dad crashes through the garage window as the three protagonists are attempting to unwind the miles accumulated during the day’s frivolities. And now that scene has been rendered immortal in Lego!
Lego master-builder Etzel decided render the Ferris Bueller “You killed the car” scene in lifelike Lego. This was Etzel’s winning entry into this year’s AFOL vs. AFOL (Adult Fan of Lego) contest, which is run by the Swebrick Lego forum where members were tasked with recreating scenes from 1980′s movies or TV shows. Other entries included Blade Runner, Spaceballs, and the Blues Brothers. Etzel captures the scene perfectly, however you’ll be happy to know that, just like the one in the film, the Lego car isn’t a real Ferrari.
