This is the Mothers Day Edition of the Hooniverse Weekend, and we celebrate Mom by showcasing an all American vehicular conveyance in the form of a mid 60’s Rambler Wagon. After all, what 1960’s television program didn’t have at least one Station Wagon in the driveway? And this one even has A/C!
The Rambler Classic was redesigned for the 1965 model year, and the body style remained essentially the same until AMC discontinued the large wagons in 1978. According to the short Craigslist Listing:
This is a nice patina Rambler wagon. It has a rebuilt six cylinder engine and a automatic transmission. This is a good looking cruiser.
Looking through the images in the listing, I noticed that this Rambler is equipped with A/C, which was a rare option in 1965. The interior is just magnificent in white and blue, and includes individual seats for the front bench (Also a rare commodity in this price class). The aftermarket rims are unfortunate, but this is an easy fix by substituting a proper set of Coker Whitewalls, with period correct Rambler Wheelcovers.
Asking price for this rather nice Rambler is $9,350. I think that is an OK price, but what do you think? See the listing here.
