Welcome to another edition of V.I.S.I.T., the series where we feature submissions from readers like you. Want to be famous? Just send us some decent pictures of something interesting, and we’ll feature it here. Pretty cool, huh? Today, we have another entry from longtime commenter Sjalabais (thanks, man!), and I think you’re going to like it. Take the jump to see more!

Sjalabais spotted this 1988 Mazda 929 while out and about on a pleasant day, and grabbed a few pictures of it for us. According to him,

This 929 wagon is a car I see regularly. It is driven by the kind of grumpy old man that looks like he will shoot you for looking straight at him. Or not, who wants to find out?

I certainly don’t. Some things are best admired from a safe distance.

This shot makes me think of the facelifted Crown Victoria from the same period. Throw a fiberglass cap on the front, maybe some new lights, and call it a day! Sjalabais also mentioned that this car has been repainted at some point in its life, as it shows red in places. He also noted that road salt has taken its toll on most 929’s in that area, which makes this one all the more impressive, no matter the color. If you want a 929 of your own, you could try here or here, but they aren’t nearly as nice as this one.

Having never seen a 929 wagon before, much less in person, I have to say this car looks pretty good to my eyes. It’s fairly simple, except for the trim around those rear windows. It looks like it has fairly good cargo space – am I wrong?

Finally, we have a shot of the glorious family sedan that is the Toyota Camry, owned by Sjalabais. He wanted to share this shot because, well, it’s awesome. I do have to say the profile of the 2001-2006 Camry looks good to me – very NASCAR-like. They never actually raced this model in NASCAR, but I remember the initial renderings and rolling chassis, and although I was shocked, I secretly liked it. That’s another story for another day, though.

Do you have something cool to share with us? Send it to ti**@ho********.info. You’ll have our undying appreciation and gratitude.
