RM Sotheby’s auctions off tons of high-dollar sheetmetal on a near constant basis. Later this year, however, the auction house is set to dish out some of Porsche’s greatest hits in honor of the automaker’s 70th anniversary of producing its own road cars. One of the big ticket items that has caught my attention is an actual Paris-Dakar 959. This will be the first time a 959 has ever changed hands through a public auction, and this one here is worth a few million bucks.
What has really caught my eye though, are the absolutely beautiful photos on the auction listing page. RM Sotheby’s tapped LA photographer Robin Adams for the task of capturing the 959, and the results are fantastic.
From the details to the interior and all of the exterior snaps, Adams captures the static car out in its element. These aren’t just good photos for an auction listing, these are great photos for your computer background or framed on your wall if you’re truly a Porsche fan.
Head over to the listing page for the full set.

That is a serious car, beautifully photographed, and I hope that whoever buys it takes to events and drives it like it should be.
