Last Call: Vintage rally cars are beautiful

This is a 1956 Porsche 356A. That background is living painting. And this journey is likely an epic one.

  1. If you’re driving from Peking to Paris and somehow find yourself on the island of Java, isn’t it time to ask for directions? 😉

  2. Peking to Paris would be an amazing challenge! Especially so in a 356 – you would want everything to go right more than usual.

Can’t remember exactly where it was but I read about an Australian Peugeot 504 entry that sounded well prepared. The entry list is at https://www.endurorally.com/events/the-7th-peking-to-paris-motor-challenge/ and there are a lot of interesting cars on it, including a 1907 Contal motor tricycle to replicate one of the entries in the original race – lets hope they have a better result than breaking down in the Gobi Desert and walking 5-600 miles back to Peking.
