Created by Jakarta-based artist Ichwan Noor, this totally spherical 1953 VW Type 1 is completely mesmerizing. Apparently part of an ongoing series of ball and cube-shaped sculptures, this yellow beetle now takes up far less real estate, but is at risk of rolling out of the gallery.

They weren't fancy but those old Beetles could really get 'round.
Were it a squareback, you'd say "Circle the wagon(s)!"
Ferdinand had a tough time at first; several of his early designs for the new KDF-wagen were balled up and thrown out in frustration.
Proof that those old VWs never go pear shaped.
I had to check that this case was indeed solved.
What's the point of using such an early car? Couldn't the art have same effect using a more common 60s-70s Beetle?
