  1. Has there ever been an automotive ad campaign more bland than Toyota’s Let’s Go Places spots?

  2. Guess what!

    IT’S BACK ON THE ROAD!
(with a slight misfire at idle because I dropped one of the spark plugs and probably cracked the insulator, there’s no inspection, and the exhaust is so loud it gave passer-by’s whiplash thanks to their doubletakes, because the flex joints disintegrated…)
But hey, no more oil or coolant leaks, the timing chain is nice and tight, it’s no longer stuck at base boost, and the AC is nice and cold. 😀

    1. And according to all those Harley riders, loud pipes save lives. So that’s in keeping with the Saab ethos.

  3. I had a good view at some sort of late 70s, early 80s piece of American wheeled cubism yesterday. It was on a trailer, together with other, more common cars. That thing walloped back and forth in all possible directions when the truck and trailer hit uneven road spots – all the while the other cars stayed more or less calm. Strangely, that just increased my desire to try and drive one of these boats one day…

  4. A first intro of the Volvo V90: http://fb.st/83gf0i
Interesting priorities: There will be a barebones version with a 150hp diesel and only manual gears for about 57000$ (cheap for Norway), but more powerful and luxurious versions will be about 40% more expensive.
