Hooniverse Weekend Edition: Another Monstrocity From The Hard Drive
-
That thing looks much better with my glasses off, but it's still a fuzzy abomination.
-
it may be a single drop in a sea of awful, but is that car pretending it has discs front and rear?
-
It could be argued that the Matador coupe was a monstrosity even before the awful modifications.
-
Matadorky.
-
I think the famous Meatloaf quote applies perfectly here. "Anything worth doin' is worth overdoin'."
-
Matadon't
-
Maybe this is my import roots talking, but in the grand scheme of things that's pretty mild.
-
This is the wrong answer to the old question.
"What's a Matador?"
"…Never mind." -
Mata d'or?
Sorry. -

I echo the sentiments of this Spanish bull.-
Playing to the Spanish Bull theme, introducing "El Materdor"….

Oh look, it's the Oleg Crapsini edition!
-
Mata d'oh.
Nice to see blind folk are being gainfully employed in the custom car industry these days. -
I like it.
-
I'd swap out the donk-y rims and tires, put on some proper slotted mags and cross-continent race tires, and campaign it at the next Death Race 2000.
-
+1 to the slotted mags!
-
-
Ironically, this didn't require massive modification to look like this.
Fun fact: Car and Driver named the Mattie the "Best Styled Car" of 1974. -
I hate to say it, but I like it better than a stock one
-
I can't stop staring at this thing. It's completely wrong, but there's something just so right about it (walks away muttering to himself).
-
Honestly, other than the unnecessary wing on the trunk, I actually like it. The owner probably built in with a mind toward personal styling interest…which to a certain extent, is how I am. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if the owner actually puts quite a few miles on it, as opposed to only bringing it out every other Sunday when the relative humidity is above 40%.
-
"…but on YOU, it works."
-
STATLER: Boo!
WALDORF: Boooo!
Statler: That was the worst thing I’ve ever seen!
Waldorf: It was terrible!
Statler: Horrendous!
Waldorf: Well it wasn’t that bad.
Statler: Oh, yeah?
Waldorf: Well, there were parts of it I liked!
Statler: Well, I liked alot of it.
Waldorf: Yeah, it was GOOD actually.
Statler: It was great!
Waldorf: It was wonderful!
Statler: Yeah, bravo!
Waldorf: More!
Statler: More!
Waldorf:Encore!
Statler: Encore! -
It's trying too hard. All he needed to do was strip the bumpers and much of the chrome. The silly ground effects, hood bulge and wing are insults to a unique design. The import tuner wheels aren't helping either.
Strip the silly its and mount some Boyd or A/R billet rims and you'd be miles ahead. -
This is better:

Oh, and it doesn't look any better from the rear.
