On this week’s episode of the Hooniverse Podcast:
1. Matt D’Andria from CarCast graces us with his presence, as well as the spectral energy of Paul Newman: D’andria has spent the better part of the past two years working with Adam Carolla on Winning: The Racing Life of Paul Newman. And it hits the Internet’s on-demand services on May 22nd: iTunes, Hulu, Google Play. (It’s already available on Xbox, Amazon, and iTunes.)
There’s no excuse not to watch it, then. I did. And it’s fantastic.
The documentary does a great job portraying Paul Newman as the greatest American who ever lived short of the guy who invented the NACA Duct. We basically conclude that Newman must’ve not paid some parking tickets or he once hugged a puppy slightly too hard.
2. Producer Chris and Matt talk about Corvettes, because Corvettes are neat. Especially the Z06.
3. Blake “ZZZap!” Rong agonizes over what car to replace the Miata, and nearly makes a deal on the spot…
