Acting on my best behavior, would hopefully allow me to save up enough money to someday place a Citroen DS in my garage. For now though, I’ll stick with my Fantasy garage, seeing as it’s Friday. This particular Citroen is a 1969 DS21 Pallas Sedan, and it’s the perfect shuttle for my retrofuturistic dreams. I wouldn’t be going full-on Gattaca, of course, as I don’t need to make my legs any longer. Still, the under-hood mysteries I’d get to explore here would be fascinating… for 15 minutes, and then I’d be on the phone to Hanzel’s as green spheres start to haunt my every moment. No matter, I’d be in possession of one of the greatest automobiles… ever made. Everything must go away eventually. Such is the case, sadly, with this Citroen as its owner is getting on in age and losing some storage space. The car appears to be in great shape, and it would certainly enjoy California’s nearly year round greatness as opposed to the cold storage it most likely takes up during Illinois winters. As of the time of this writing, the reserve hasn’t been met with a top bid of just under $8,000. The auction has five days to go, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the number climb up between 15 and 20,000. By comparison, there’s a DS wagon for sale on Hemmings with more miles (and oh-my-god is it long-roof glorious).
