This week, I’m spending time with something rather special. It’s full name is the Dinan Signature Series S3-R BMW 1M. For brevity’s sake, I’ll just call it Professor Perfect. You see, this might be one of the best sorted machines I’ve ever driven. I’ve certainly been fortunate these last few years to drive a long list of amazing vehicles. The Dinan 1M slaps most of them right in their stupid smug faces like a short guy with a chip on his shoulder. So my Fantasy Find for this Friday is, of course, a BMW 1m.
These aren’t exactly plentiful in the market. BMW produced the 1M for just one year, and during that time the automaker churned out 740 examples. The few that are being offered up for sale are trading between the low 60k range up on into the mid 70k range. This particular [sc:ebay itemid=”281345528365″ linktext=”2011 BMW 1M that I found on eBay”] has just 16,200 miles and currently shows a high bid of $46,600 with an unmet reserve. If it could be had in the $50k range, it would be a great buy based on current market conditions. To make the Dinan goodies happen in the same manner as on my test car would take another $20k. Things are getting expensive… but hey, it’s my Fantasy Friday. So for the price of a brand-new Corvette with all the trimmings, you could have a machine that’s (a tiny bit) more incognito yet would leave the Vette owner crying into the fibers of his Tommy Bahama shirt. The Dinan 1M is a like a laser-guided sledge hammer, and I love it. (and you can bet your ass that last line is making it into my video review of the car) So I’ve shown you mine, now you show me yours… share your Fantasy Finds for this Friday below. Go on, you know you’ve already checked out at the office. Get to shopping! [Source: [sc:ebay itemid=”281345528365″ linktext=”eBay Motors” ]]
