We wrote about a Mercedes 500TE AMG Wagon as a stand out from the RM Sotheby’s Youngtimer Collection auction taking place later in 2019. Now Chris Harris and Top Gear have been granted access to the collection in what can only be described as a warehouse of “Mint.”
Ferraris, Porsches, Bentleys, numerous Rolls Royces, BMWs, Alpinas and a Renault 5; the warehouse contains the ultimate Radwood buffet of cars and SUVs. Mr. Harris dives into the amazing interior of a Lagonda and a few more time capsules of perfection. Digital dashes from the ’80s are the best dashes.
The volume of radness and the many manufacturers featured in the Youngtimer Collection is just unheard of. To have amassed so many perfect examples of iconic vehicles is literally the stuff of dreams. Each one is mint. Where else are you going to see not one, but two Aston Martin Lagondas? Let alone a manual Porsche 928 GTS!
The cars will be sold over four different auctions throughout 2019. It isn’t featured in this video, but there’s a Mark IV Supra in the collection that is going to bring top dollar after the dreadful reaction to the Z4-inspired Supra.
The 1974 BMW 3.0 CS is my favorite. I could drive that to work every day a be considered someone of taste. I’m not, but that’s why it’s a daydream. Which perfect example would you pick?
Luckily I already own my 1994 Land Cruiser because it appears that prices of Radwood-era cars are starting to climb.
