The Hummer H1 is the civilian version of the HMMWV from AM General. It was produced from 1992 through 2006, and, towards the end of the production run, a new one would fetch a handsome sum sitting north of $100,000… to start. Craigslist has a few used options, however, that can have you living out your Desert Storm fantasies for far less. Once such choice is the white 1993 Hummer H1 Wagon shown above, and it will cost you just $22,000 to put it in your driveway… assuming it fits in your driveway.
This particular examples has 99,000 miles on its diesel motor. We’re not sure exactly which mill is under the large hood, but it’s either a 6.2-liter paired with a 3-speed automatic or a 6.5-liter mated to a four-speed gearbox. The seller states that many wear items have been replaced, and the vehicle is currently registered through October of 2012.
Does $22,000 sound like the right price for a platform on which to build your zombie survival mobile? Or is this vehicle best left to the Governators of the world?
