Ford has yet to offer the redesigned 2015 Mustang for sale yet, but pony-car aftermarket supplier America Muscle have already designed appearance packages for the new platform to capture the styling cues of previous-generation Mustangs. As the S550 Mustang—which for the first time sports independent rear suspension and brings back the turbocharged four-cylinder option—is yet available, the parts for the American Muscle packages are not for sale either. However, conceptualized trio includes Mustang bits based on Bullitt, Eleanor, and the Iacocca Anniversary Mustang.
- The Bullitt package, based on the Mustang driven by Steve McQueen’s title character’s from Bullitt, pays tribute to the film’s 1968 Mustang fastback with Dark Highland Green paint, quarter-window louvres, and “Bullitt” style rally wheels.
- Eleanor also takes its cues from a film car, the coveted 1971 Mustang Sportsroof from1974’s “Gone in 60 Seconds” (and its 2000 remake), with paint stripes, Shelby-style wheels, massive side scoops, and side-exit exhaust.
- Finally, the Iacocca version mashes up the Iacocca-inspired 45th-anniversary edition S197-chassis Mustang and it includes clean lines and some extra-shiny silver paint.
