Continuing on with our Quick Hit Weekend, and I found this gem over at the Blue Car Appreciation Society Facebook Page, and WOW… this is a real truck that can perform real truck things… whatever the hell that means. One look at this F-100, and you know it was built before trucks became rolling Penthouse Suites. You all know what I mean by that… Let’s take a look at this rugged Ford… I am just going to let the Craigslist Listing speak for itself here…
1962 F100 four wheel drive with 292 Y-block V8, 4 speed with granny, 9″ rear, 44 front, divorced gear drive transfer case. It is all original except for the box. The engine runs well and does not smoke. the tranny and clutch are good. The brakes are good, but could use a front adjustment. I have the front shocks off of it, but will include a set of Rancho adjustable with the truck. It has 33″ Dunlop mud rovers on F150 Alcoa wheels. The rear box was built out of new bed pans and square tubing. The fenders are fiberglass. The floors and cab mounts are replaced. The passenger side recently, the drivers side probably twenty years ago. The doors and fenders have bondo in them. The core support is rusty and the fender liners are patched. The frame is solid. All the glass is good, but it will need window seals on the doors. I am running a ten gallon aluminum tank in the tool box, as the factory tank was in the cab. I was planning a Bronco II tank for it. The truck is plated with a historical tag. I use it mostly around the farm, but I do not drive it often. I drove it up to my cabin up north without an issue. No trades. Again, no trades. If you shoot me a low ball sight unseen, I will ignore it.
Why would anyone shoot him a low ball offer anyway, because he is asking only $3,800 for it… Is that really too much for this rolling beast of a truck? See the listing here, and let me know what you think about it.
