In this, the last May 1st Cruise post I show a bunch of cars I saw scrambled around the town after the cruise had ended. The machinery here is various: cars attracted to the town centre by the sunny weather and people out and about.
The first sighting to report is this ice silver Porsche 964. Right colour, right wheels, right everything.
Here’s the Fiat you can see in the lead image.
A C4 Corvette with chrome wheels from a later one.
A 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500E. For a country with such a huge amount of W124:s, the number of these Porsche-built supersaloons is appallingly low.
This Volvo also featured in the first image in this post.
Too cold for this Saab driver to drop the top.
But not too cold for this Fiat.
I do believe I included this Vette last year, too.
Couple of Evo Lancers. Which one do you prefer?
The Evo IV was soon flanked by an XM. The turbodiesel Citroën was in absolute beater condition, but still clattered along.
No instahipstergram here, I swear – this shot of the tan Amazon was taken from behind a tinted window.
Any love for an IROC-Z?
Or a convertible LeBaron?
Finally, the Mirada everybody’s seen here before. I still can’t believe it’s actually a hard top under that vinyl.
Thanks for watching!

…and it totally stole the show and made me click on the post. Nice and clean 144. I was sort of hoping for today's equivalent of this, but I guess you can't have everything, can you? 🙂
That's a 142, unless you can see another set of doors that I can't 😉
You're undoubtedly correct.
Antti, did you get any photos of the Avanti-looking thing in the background of the Mirada pic? Was it an Avanti?
I think it's an Opel Kadett. And no, I didn't get a snap of it. Should've, though.
It's a Kadett (I like Kadetts), and it was in one of the threads the other day, in the background.
That '68 Chevy, is it a Caprice? A cousin of mine had one like that back in the early '70s, a 2-door hardtop with a 396. That one looks like Tripoli Turquoise, or Teal Blue.
Ah, right. Better make an appointment to get eyes checked…
Someone took the IROC's wheels, the wheels on that car are off a regular camaro. The fiat driver has the top down, but a big thick coat on, lol.
The convertble LeBaron is under rated. I have a nice old 1994, they have Maserati styling, Mitsubishi engine and Chrysler nameplate.
It all works good and was inexpensive .What is not to like?
Is that a Mercury Sable behind that Chevy van?

Bitchin' Camaro by The Dead Milkmen
I like the grayish silver Evo better. We never got those in the States unlike the VIII so that's the one I'd go for!
