Watch the trailer for The Grand Tour Series 3

The Grand Tour returns to your Amazon Prime-provided screens on January 18th. Clarkson, Hammond, and May are back at and it looks to be more of the same. That is to say, it looks like entertaining adventures in a wide range of vehicles across many countries. Right off the bat we’re treated to Hammond and his continual efforts to see his life cut short. From there, the scenes supplied are of massive sweeping vistas and awaiting tales of adventure.
There’s also plenty of hijinks, shenanigans, and tomfoolery. Also burnouts, drifts, and Hammond “going over The Edge” in a Dodge Demon. Fans of wrist wear will be pleased to note that Clarkson’s bracelet count appears to have increased compared to prior seasons.

This is beautifully shot. It’s filled with glorious machinery of varying degree. The humor should be there as well. We’ll be watching in January, and you should be as well.

I’m still trying to get through Season 1. Zzzzzzzz…
Hopefully Seasons 2 and 3 are better. “Celebrity Brain Crash” was dreadful – the first one was novel, but after that? Old.

Well, at least people are going to know what a Lancia Gamma Coupe is.
And I’ll be able to stop explaining what mine is.

Rover 1, that is one impressive trio of coupes. As an American, I’ve ridden in a GTV, owned an X1/9, and never seen a Gamma Coupe in the flesh. Thanks to a British friend of mine, I have stacks of old C&SC and Thoroughbred and Classic car magazines going back 20 plus years, so I do know what a Gamma is, at least…

That’s actually a still from the promo for Grand Tour. My Gamma Coupe is almost identical to that, silver, but with the rubbing strip relocated to bumper level, and on Volvo 17″ alloys. Aldo Brovarone the designer at Pininfarina responsible never liked the strip there and moved it or deleted it on other versions designed. The rest of my cars are still obscure by US standards, a Citroën BX,mildly modded, a Citroën CX, Mercedes Benz W124,(5), C124 and S124, Renault Espace Mk1, and Rovers 400,(slightly modded) and Rover 800 (2, sedan and hatch) and a Mk1 Honda Civic shuttle.
But then I’m in NZ, keep an eye open in America though, there are now four Gamma Coupes in the US
