This black beauty, a Lada 2107 tuned in its native country Russia, displays styling and modifying cues familiar from J-Tin cars. Rolling on deep-dish wheels that wouldn’t look out of place on a tuned Datsun 510, it’s an aggressive-looking square machine.
It also sports a padded rollcage, Bride racing seats and all the trimmings you’d expect, even if not necessarily on a Lada.
Take a look, it’s pretty neat – especially in HD video.

This month the last of the classic Lada bricks rolled of the production-lines.

Ah, and a Kombi no less.
Until I saw this clip I had no idea they also made this in a Pick-up version!
Because I am getting old, I question if something that low is feasible anywhere that gets frost heave.
Don't get me wrong, fantastically cool, and I'd be searching Kijiji for old Signets right now if I thought I'd find one.
Begging for a roof chop.
Okay this is a tasteful mod job and I like the effect, but I cant help but think that this would be really inconvenient to own. this is russia, not japan — potholes are prevalent and a lot of the time road conditions leave something to be desired. The whole point of the lada was to be as crude and durable as possible so that it may be easily repaired and be able to take heaps of abuse on the russian roads.
I feel sort of guilty for saying this because it is definitely a slick ride
