This orange 2CV was the one, to which I referred in the Loader Santa article. I saw it parked near my apartment this autumn, but for some reason never ended up posting the photos. I think. Hang on, let me check.
While I’m looking for the article, you can ponder about the titular challenge: How many basketballs really would fit in a Citroën 2CV6, especially of a very orange, 1977 variety? In this one, there seem to be approximately five to six, contained within a web sack in the back seat.
Phew, good luck. I hadn’t posted this one yet, only the utility van finished in very dark green. I almost prefer this orange one, mainly because it retains the frankly ridiculous 2CV shape, and because the colour is very much wacky enough to suit the carefree character. Who cares if it only has a 600cc engine and barely counts as a car? Just throw on a multicoloured steering wheel cover and hit the streets.
And the one other thing you can do is roll back the roof and enlarge your cargo space upwards. Just in case you need to maximise the amount of basketballs you can transport with the 2CV – even if my initial question was about the number of basketballs that fit *in* one, so having them burst through the roof opening is cheating, to be precise.
