The Cammed & Tubbed Podcast: Episode 109 – Two Live Crew

CT109
Jason is off driving GT350s for like 10 minutes at the race track, so he couldn’t be bothered to join us this week. It’s just Cam and Brad like the good old days (bad old days?). When these two idiots get together, it’s mostly just inside jokes and talking about memes. We had a TON of listener questions, though, so we spend a bunch of time talking about that.
This episode’s topics include: Some d’s, Brad drove some new 911s, Cam’s parents bought a scooter, Cam got his motorcycle endorsement, Cam was a guest on a motorcycle podcast (no, not that one…), and we answer loads and loads of listener questions. Since we didn’t get to this one on the show, listener Niles asked “In honor of BMW’s centennial, what is the best car they’ve ever made?” and my answer is without a doubt the 507, no wait, the M1, no the E30 M3 Evo… Too many good ones!

I’m okay with donks – I find it hard to get too worked up about a giant old American car not braking or handling well, and as far as I know, they’re mostly driven slowly anyhow, right (it’s not a local phenomenon).
With the 928 still being fairly unloved, as much as it’s a Porsche, it’s also a predominantly automatic grand tourer, which isn’t the most valuable segment of old car, no matter the brand.
Funny enough with bringing up the Ducati Scrambler 400, I rode one on the weekend. It’s a fantastically easy bike to ride, it looks neat, and I think the savings over the 800 are a little more generous up here. Bit you’re right, the Guzzi is almost definitely what I’d pick over it (although Ducati has a slightly more expansive dealer network).
I also can’t abide by complaints about too much production in 70s music, because too much production gave us ELO.
