While helping load auction items into a rental Kia Sportage after the Lemons of Love fundraiser I attended last weekend, I saw this diagram. I’m pretty sure it’s a simple line diagram meant to document damage by the rental agency, but the juxtaposition of a four-door sedan from circa 1990 on a modern CUV just struck me as absurd for some reason. So what kind of car is this line drawing? My first thought, because I’m sick, was an Eagle Premier, but a longer look makes me think Toyota Camry or maybe Nissan Stanza.
Of course, it’s a weird amalgamation of generic car characteristics. Except the front view. What the hell is going on here? Everything below the windshield looks like a Transformers knock-off character from a dollar-store coloring book.
Side and plan view suggests Honda Legend.
Front and rear are the stuff of nightmares.
Profile is definitely second-gen Legend.

Front is a Saab that’s been given the Woll Smoth treatment, while the rear looks rather Panhard-ish to me.
It looks more Vigor-ish to me. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/a38238347a7ae74a76f099a0226a122ad4f3fdfb66e3439c7cdfba1fd0c887dc.jpg
My first thought as well, followed by 4th-gen Honda Accord as a backup since the Vigor was the upmarket version of the Accord at that time.
There was actually a JDM variant called the Accord Inspire. But don’t let the visual similarities fool you: Unlike the Accord, which had a conventional transverse I-4 layout, the Vigor/Accord Inspire had a longitudinal I-5 like an old school Audi.

Never even heard of it, but that’s one sleek sedan.
I adore stuff like this. Architect drawings used to be a source of nondescript car delight, too, until everything went 3d with a full set of legitimate vehicles.
Pretty close to a 1994-1996 Infinity Q45.

Dame Edna Saab 9-5 in front,
Audi 5000/100. It also apparently has testicles and hangs right.
Well, it’s not an American car, because the drawing is using First Angle Projection.
nonetheless it could be from an american manufacturer.

It also seems to have two fuel filler doors.
That reminds me of the original Jaguar XJ which had two separate fuel tanks, but they were filled through caps not doors.
Reminds me a bit of a Nissan Cedric

I misread the headline as a Renal Car Diagram and looked for a kidney shaped grille.
I can’t find it now, but Adesa’s vehicle inspection form is about 95% ’96 Crown Victoria. One of the forms the company I work for uses an illustration of a ’93 Dodge Intrepid ES. Not a stylized pseudo Intrepid. A full, unquestionable drawing of a 24 year old Chrysler (one I’m fond of, mind you).
