New Honda Prelude Going on Sale Late Next Year

The sixth generation Prelude has already been announced, but now we know a bit more. First, you can buy one in the U.S. market “late next year.” Also, we learned more about the new drive mode that will be attached to the hybrid-electric powertrain.

It’s called the Honda “S+ Shift,” and it’s likely a way to make the CVT transmission a bit more exciting to drive. Honda is going all-in on battery-electric and fuel-cell electric vehicles. Their goal is to have them represent 100% of its vehicle sales by 2040. So, delivering some engaging driving experience will be essential. We look forward to checking out the new Prelude in 2025!

This trend toward “squinty” headlamps doesn’t work for me. It seems as though the headlights are getting smaller & smaller, which leads me to wonder about their efficiency! Blinding oncoming vehicles, yet not providing a sufficiently improved view of the road appears to be the norm w/ some vehicles.
