You know how they say that nothing rhymes with orange, well, what’s up with that? Today’s Mystery Car happens to be orange, for no particular rhyme or reason, just because that’s the color that happened to come out of the spray gun that painted it. After last week’s contest was solved in a matter of nano-seconds, I vowed to myself to make this one a little bit harder, and more orange, definitely cranking up the orange I said.
The rules are easy – you need to come u with the make, model, year-range and likely engine to win. And after all that, orange you glad I didn’t say banana?

My first guess was a Lambo Miura, but the character line on the "hood" of the Miura continues the length of the hood.
1970 Lambo P400 Jota/Miura with 3.9L V12?
DING! DING! DING! We have a winnah!
Yay!
Well done!
But what does this have to do with Fox bodies?
Isn't it funny how we remember things? : )

That was my first thought too, but a quick google search showed it wasn't as close as I thought. My second thought was BMW grille, but that was apparently off base, too.
Well I deleted it when I found I was wrong.
What I said was that this looked like a late sixties early seventies Mercury Cougar grille.
Sorry, I must have been replying the same time you deleted it.
No shame in being wrong! These things are freaking hard.
I wouldn't have been wrong if I could have deleted it 🙂
Actually I should have left it since I still think it looks like a Cougar.
My initial reaction was Cougar too but then I noticed the body line went in and not out.

Great job LTDScott!
