While I’ve never personally experienced it, and the laws in my neck of the woods specifically prohibit it, this scenario is still my drive-time nightmare.

A new Atomic Toasters post explains…

Don’t block the box!

So hoons, I’ve been looking for a set of 6.5×16″, 5 bolt, SAAB Super Aero wheels since June of 2013, before I had even bought my 900. Today I ran across a cryptically named Craigslist post with no pictures for ‘Saab wheels.’ $100.
I emailed them asking for pictures and I almost peed myself in excitement when they responded with this:-
Nice score! Super rare rims, too.
-
Now I just need to get a functioning car worthy of wearing them…
-
Details, schmeetails.

Excellent price! Super Aeros are not rare here, but still cost 150 per corner – I don’t quite believe in the “free” market…
-
I think the 5 bolt Super Aeros only came on 900 Talledega’s in the US or were a factory-ordered option. I need to get a 1998 US SAAB catalog to double check.
There’s plenty of 4 bolt Super Aeros, though, since the 9000 Aero and 900SPG came with them standard, and they were an option on all the other 9000 models/900’s with the SPG aero package.

Why lanesplitting is awesome.

You mean, other than the time saving/not getting crushed from behind parts?

Had a “rare car day” the other day. First out, a Volvo XC90 V8 was driving right in front of me. Due to its excessive new price of 200000$+ ten years ago, it is very rare. Then we drove passed a Camry that had broken down and was parked next to the road – how’s that even possible? Minutes later, a pink Daihatsu Copen came towards us, and a Corvette passed us not much later. Weird.

I pulled a sled with my bike over the weekend. Its a little long so you might want to use the 2x option.

I frequently muse on what my next car should be, often around ideas I honestly see as nearly certainly terrible. So with that said, you people (I say that affectionately) seem to have a thing for wagons and Swedes, what’s a succinct take on the new Volvo V60 wagons? My perception of their horrid reliability and Seawolf Class depreciation colors my thinking, but I can be bought, and they go for ~$15-$20K less than a 3-series wagon.
-
In Europe, the V60 is known as one of the most reliable cars in the marked, with Toyota-grade quality. German AutoBild had one infotainment-issue during their 100000km test, which prevented the V60 from becoming the best car they ever tested reliabilitywise.

I don’t have much of an opinion as I haven’t even driven one, and it would be too small for my use, but it sells very well here and holds its value way better than class average. Goes to say that perceptions are indeed very different on each side of the Atlantic…Try one and report back!

I have no idea who Ellie Goulding is, but she and her group went over a frozen lake and lost their Volvo BV when it broke through the ice. The vehicle was not supposed to be driven on water at all; it is a pristine high mountain lake. Minutes from where I started my life as a Norwegian by choice.
