Driving the McLaren F1 is probably about as close to piloting a Space Shuttle as you could come in a road-going car, and owning one is about as likely. This one, despite its beautiful ebony paint and included fitted luggage, is somewhat more obtainable, clocking in at only £199. That’s because, you see, this one is an amazingly detailed 1:18th scale model.

How did that one slip past? I thought I had all the 1/18 models of the F1 available, now I have another one on order!
I would much prefer another model they have for sale: http://lookathershine.com/shop/autoart-hotwheels-…
That one is in my collection. Looking back it's hard to believe that they couldn't sell all of the real ones – but the good thing that came from that was the chassis' available for rebodying http://www.carstyling.ru/resources/studio/large/1… and http://www.lotusespritturbo.com/Alfa_Romeo_Carabo… and http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thu… and http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thu… and http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/e1/Alf… and http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oMDUl8aCzLs/TIN1GpMcW0I…

Anytime you guys get into AA, I spend 3 hours shopping the 'nets.
Does it also come with a 1:18 scale McLaren golf bag, Facom tools rollaway, hub nut torque wrench and 1:18 Tag Heuer watch?
Is it sad that I didn't even realize it was a model at first?
Not really, that's just testament to how good a model it is. I didn't notice at first either, and I'm still shocked it's a 1/18.
Ok good, glad I'm not alone. 😛
