While the result would no doubt be horrific, that’s an accident that I really would’t mind being witness to.
Last Call indicates the end of Hooniverse’s broadcast day. It’s meant to be an open forum for anyone and anything. Thread jacking is not only accepted, it’s encouraged.

This is where Les Schwab gets his beef.
Tenderized by falling! (or more accurately, by landing.)
I wondered how this chain got their name…
BBQ pit where cows fling themselves off cliffs like lemmings.
That is a million dollar idea, that.
Lemmings can be pretty angry animals, especially early in spring. I have had them attack me a couple of times, but only in low numbers. They do that…eh…once. A good lemming year on the other hand will be a good grouse year, too, as predators prefer them. Also, as an Amiga-man, my most pressing Lemmings-reference:

Q: What do you call a cow that fell from a great height?
A: Ground beef.
A: Patty
Chuck.
The Final Milk Shake.
An udder disaster.
cow pie
“Fetchez La Vache!!“
This one took a second to figure out but made me laugh more than most bumper stickers do.
I wonder if anybody ever asked him what “TAFKAPTON” was supposed to mean.
That’s not how you spell Hairton Senna!
I’m on Staycation! Nine days of glorious bumming around the house / Bay area.
Things I’m not doing on staycation:
Finding and fixing the oil leak on the DRZ400
Taking the DRZ400 to the Off Highway Vehicle Park and riding off-road
Taking a perfectly good EX500 apart to rebuild the carburetors
Ditto to adjust the valves
Ditto to replace the brake pads
Bodging together a rear master cylinder for the Laverda
Putting the brand new stainless steel exhaust on the Laverda
Synchronizing the rebuilt carbs on the Laverda
Riding the Laverda
Selling the Scout project
Tracking down that rattle in the pickup truck’s front end
Buying rain gear in anticipation of the El Nino weather system
Replacing the capacitor in my Epicure 100 speaker
Fixing the dead left input in my N.A.D. 160 A receiver, (Hey, it’s wired to the crappy speaker anyway)
Heating up my HAM radio
Going to those three parties Honey Bunny just told me about
Cleaning my room
Figuring out how a raven is like a writing desk
Things I am doing on staycation
4 or 5 things from the above, probably, but only if it’s tasteful and organic to the plot
Going to a housewarming
Going to the annual KPH Pt. Reyes / Bolinas “Night of Nights” celebration of commercial Morse code communication http://www.nps.gov/pore/planyourvisit/events_nightofnights.htm
Drinking PBR in the backyard
Riding my slapdash bicycle around
…? (my favorite)
Heating up the ham radio? 807s taste better frosty cold, unless you were using Lucas refrigeration. 73s to you…
You can bet your Astron power supply I’ll be heating up the HAM radio. My vacuum tube fix will have to come from KPH’s glorious mercury vapor rectifiers in their PW-15 (sending as KSM)

That’s a glorious transmitter! I’ll have to listen for it on the SW bands and/or catch the ham station on HF.
Evidently the classic poem “birdy, birdy, in the sky” needs some revision.
Birdy, birdy, in the sky, please don’t doody in my eye.
Birdy, birdy, in the sky, I’m so glad that cows don’t fly. . .
that one?
I learned a slightly different version: birdy birdy in the sky / dropped some whitewash in my eye / I won’t worry, I won’t cry / I’m just glad that cows don’t fly!
(Clearly someone in the mainstream media needs to develop a regional map of the variations in this poem, the way some outlet or another occasionally publishes a map showing where people pronounce “aunt” as “ont” compared to “ant”, or whether they make a difference in the vowel sound of “cot” vs “caught”… could be Pulitzer material. Or probably not.)
We had US car show 100 km from where I am, and kinda forgot it. Pro photos of American iron, a lot of it from Finland: http://www.postimees.ee/3257893/suur-galerii-american-beauty-car-show-haapsalus#galerii-4270915
Buffalo jump ahead? I was just at one of the buffalo jumps here in Alberta, some of the most beautiful places you’ll see.
