    1. Addendum: In a CL search of the SF Bay Area for ‘Cimarron’, the last item on the returned results is a Kohler Toilet, model name also Cimarron. (No Cadillacs are listed.)

    2. The dual cockpit idea is kind of cool. I know I’ve seen classic runabouts with the dual windscreens as well but I can’t seem to find one now.

  1. Can you shipping please. Patina.

  2. Oh, this is a post by Robert. I thought it was another of Longroof’s southern Missouri perspectives.

  3. I posted this to the LeMons Lounge on FB earlier, so some of you have probably seen it, but for those who haven’t: I’ve been joking since I bought it that the Tdub looks like something out of Mario Kart. So, for my Hell On Wheels rally theme, it’s time to take that joke too far:

    I’m-a going as-a Luigi!

      1. Yamaha also makes the SR400, there are sub-500cc street bikes out there. 🙂
I hadn’t heard of the VanVan 200. That thing is adorable, and I spent a minute staring at the tires, and then hit the spec tab. Sure enough: 180/80-14 and 130/80-18. The same rear and front sizes as the TW200, respectively. The picture even looks like it’s sporting a Bridgestone TW34/31 set (again: the same stock tires as the TW200).

      2. Your friend’s Tdub sounds sweet. The thing sitting on the rear rack is a rotopax mount for 2 1 gal jugs. I’ve got some green ripstop nylon that I’m going to turn into a cover so I don’t end up looking too christmas-ey out on the road.

    1. For the rally I’m just going with my default theme of unstable idiot. I’ve found it works in LeMons as well as it does elsewhere.
I had hoped to lash my Itera bicycle to the back of the 66 GL for an overall “when is a Volvo not a Volvo” theme, but in test-fitting it I found that my bicycle rack would have positioned one of the wheels directly behind the car’s exhaust. Probably not the best plan for plastic spokes.

      1. Mine’s a 2015 MY (even if the design dates to the 1980s) and it’s Japanese. Per their scoring, that puts me, like, 50 points in the hole at check-in. I’m not sure whether they’ll give me any points for it being an undamped 200cc thumper with a max cruising speed of 50mph (only capable of 55-60 for short bursts). So I gotta do something.
You’re at +100 for the manufacture date, and they know you. I think they’ll believe your theme choice. I bet you get points for it.
(And really: I’m in this to complete it. They just put up a scoring chart which was obviously created as a bad incentive…)

          1. I’m sure they’ll make on-the-spot updates to the score sheet for unexpectedly awesome entries.

      2. Also, I’m hoping someone goes for the obvious moonshot in the scores. Press loaner, pilotis, make sure to drop the phrase “double apex” during check-in. Act like a douchenozzle.
