See that Audi shifter in the picture above? More to the point, do you notice the highly reflective chrome surround? Now, I’ve driven quite a few VAG cars over the past few years with this design feature and I can tell you that on sunny days, it can often be a pain in the eyeballs. Form following function has always been my mantra and that’s why I find such goofball design decisions so immensely frustrating. There’s also the issue with phony baloney rear side windows that are really shiny black plastic and offer no help to sight-lines whatsoever. I hate those so much!
