When did Mickey go retro? Everything besides the cell phones tells me this is much older than it is.
I usually try to avoid the Marketing Maustroopers known as all things Disney (I fail… 2 girls in elementary school) but the kids watch these shorts every now and then and I have to say I enjoy them. Between the semi-dark humor (others go deeper) the crudish animation and the music, they’ve got a very Ren and Stimpy flavor to them. And that’s ALWAYS good.
I have made peace with Disney. They monetize other people’s enjoyment more effectively than any company on earth, apart from perhaps InBev or the NFL. My kids love these, they are very much Ren & Stimpy meets old school loony toons, and I watch them too.
I think I have them all on my DVR thanks to my offspring. “Croissant de Triomphe” has some serious scooter hoonage.
