We weren’t the only guys at the ice track event yesterday. The track was full of various local BMW:s, going around the wide track, spending most of the time sideways. This 2004 E46 330d was a good example: the guy ran all day long, keeping nice lines and without splitting any plastic parts in half.
1992 525i with black leather and Shadowline trim, on basketweaves. Tasteful.
This Compact also served, displaying some hatchback hoonage antics.
Another E36, a lowly 318is. It went everywhere sideways, as it should.
X5:s were present, and they probably got their chance to pull someone out of the snow bank. By the way, that bank there was marked by the white 325ix touring.
The white E90 was the newest 3-series there.
A wide track is just the right size for an E38 7-series, and this one certainly enjoyed the wide open space.

Random trivia: Paul Wolfowitz drove a 318Ti.
…Speed presents July 4th special edition of "Are You Faster Than a Redneck", Paul Wolfowitz in his 318Ti vs Joe Biden and his Trans Am…
With a cameo of Karl Rove's Jaguar S-Type.
All of these ice track photos bring back memories of winter driving in my hometown in Southern Oregon. Your ice track is very reminiscent of the streets and yards in my old neighborhood, except for the lack of mailboxes and telephone poles. And instead of BMWs, I was driving an old 2WD International Travelall and my buddies were all in various American big-iron sleds. We probably spent as much time sideways and backwards as you guys though, and you don't have any lovely hills to get up and down on your track either. Pity, that.
Brrr, I'm getting cold just remembering….
The blue wagon is beautiful.
