Radwood came to California this past weekend, and I am happy to report that it is still a great event. If you’re a fan of all things 80s and 90s, then you have to try and get to a Radwood event when one comes anywhere in your vicinity. It’s not just the cars but also the people that make it great. Don’t get me wrong, the cars are the stars of the show but hanging out with like-minded folks having a great time on a sunny day is always a good time. I wish I had taken more photos, but I wound up talking to lots of folks and just enjoying the sights rather than making sure I captured everything.

Here are a few quick ones I snapped:
Radwood was kind enough to gift me an entry pass, which is why I brought my Montero. In a moment of old cars-never done, I had to do a quick fix as I pulled off the freeway at the exit for the show. My idle adjustment screw was loose and the truck was sitting at 2,800 rpm. I quickly popped the hood, adjusted it real quick by hand, and got it back down to 900 so I could comfortably sit in the long line of cars waiting to get into the event. The line moved quickly enough, and my Montero did fine once I fixed that screw.
In fact, it actually won an award. Mobil sponsored a high mileage award for anyone who could show that their vehicle has the highest mileage at the show. Sitting at 335k on the odometer, the next closest hand-raiser was maybe within 100k miles. So it was a fun show and I left with a certificate (and the promise of a prize bag to be mailed later).
