Some roads are more well worn than others. That goes for a lot of things, in fact.
Last Call indicates the end of Hooniverse’s broadcast day. It’s meant to be an open forum for anyone and anything. Thread jacking is not only accepted, it’s encouraged.

Totally, 100% off topic:

It’s even worse when the lyrics are in your native language and you still get them bollixed up.

First day of sunshine for…a month? yesterday, so I went and operated my fine weather machine: The lawnmower. Managed to hit a bloody root though and bend the rotor. It’s almost back to how it should be now, but it sounds all wrong. It’s a direct connection to the engine – might that one be hurt? Or is it just to buy a new knifw/rotor and live happily ever aftee?

It’s a new mower, bought it last fall. Logged about 5 hours of use….-
It’s possible the shaft is bent. I’d run it briefly without the blade to see if it’s still out of balance. If not, replace the blade.

You probably sheared the flywheel key, which altered the spark timing.

Excellent guide, and I have a B & S engine, too. I’ll follow Alff’s tip first to see if it runs more balanced without the bend knife. Big thanks to you guys!

OA makes a great point. The flywheel key is typically a woodruf, which is available from most well-stocked hardware stores.

methinks this little spotty needs some sleep, i’ve had 2 hours since y’day morning and done an overnight radio show (great fun but exhausting)
just popped down the supermarket to get some supper and stopped at a stop sign to wait for the cross road to clear of the dozen or so cars that were coming, when i opened my eyes (after how long i’m not sure…) there were no cars in sight in either direction
not very safe and a little worrying
bedtime now -
Looks more like the grandmother road.
