Last Call: El Choices Edition

Pass_On_The_Left
Texas is home to El Paso and this truck is home to life choices for passing. Of course, that’s why they invented auto insurance.
Last Call indicates the end of Hooniverse’s broadcast day. It’s meant to be an open forum for anyone and anything. Thread jacking is not only accepted, it’s encouraged.

Truer words. Don’t be a nimrod around people driving every day to make their money.

Did the longroof really voodoo you back? Cool! I’m having Firefox troubles myself, but regular page updates help to keep everything working (on the PC – on Android, Disqus is just slow).

Nope it was Alex. And deeply grateful I am. I’m now hooked up via Safari. Firefox used to be less crashy, but then during the Great HTML Conversion of the ‘verse, I lost the ability to see or make comments – to the joy of the dozenous multitudes. But I lurked, oh dear god, how I lurked…

Anyone else here watching “Wayward Pines”?
If not and you plan to, don’t read further / spoiler alert.
The whole idea of freezing a little society for 2000 years is pretty interesting, and I can live with that when it comes to people and mountains of food. But…they drive around in 2014 cars and even have a helicopter. Whatever storage method applied, if the explanation for what’s happening in the series remains this long slumber, detoriating rubber, plastics and metal are one of the biggest logical issues with the whole show. I’m pretty annoyed with that by now.

I am and I love it. Personally I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had known the spoilers but I’m weird like that.
Anyway, I thought they were actually driving older cars. You know, ones easier to fabricate new parts for. The chopper is a bit much but hey, unlimited funds… I can get past it.

I agree it’s fantastic – but with all these wild revelations and logical issues, I’m not sure if this whole cryonic story is a detour fooling the viewer. As such, it’s great to not know what happens next.

On your recommendation I just started to watch first episodes on Fox online today to catch up. It’s kinda of like a weird Brigadoon – cool show – I don’t know how I missed the trailers for it. Decent cast, too.
