SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association, Show is happening this week in Las Vegas. Jeff and the podcast gang will be there, bringing you a ton of near-future podcast stuff. The rest of us will unfortunately be glued to our computers and other portable electronic devices to get the news. Seeing that just about every damn after-market company will be at SEMA, what would you like to see? The latest OEM builds? Outrageous custom creations? Race parts? LED lights for your ’84 Cadillac? What’s most interesting in the world of aftermarket to you?

Safari is the hot mess today, so something malaise-y, safaried out? Fiero, EXP, Corvette C4, or even a Chrysler New Yorker?

Car & Driver really was ahead of their time, but I wholeheartedly support a Safari C4 instead of C3

More vintage-repro stuff. Yokohama has some of its old tires back to fulfill the needs of the retro-tuner crowd, and more of this would be wonderful across the spectrum. Would love to see, say, BBS do a run of 15- and 16-inch RAs and RSs to replace the thirty-year-old ones that are beat to death and in danger of cracking.

Factory Five is revealing their ’35 Hot Rod Truck kit which looks interesting. Several of the guys from work are there but I wasn’t able to go this year.

Are there no guard requirements to cover the wheels? You couldn’t drive that here, (or in the rain), which is often here.

For production cars I’m sure there is. For home built or kits, the laws on what’s required vary from state to state as does enforcement.
