A unique 1972 blue DATSUN 510 4-dr Automatic sedan, one of only four or five known showroom-stock 510s remaining anywhere
While I cannot verify the accuracy of the sellers statement, I gotta say that this particular 510 would be considered extraordinarily rare.
And she is no trailer queen either. According to the seller she has been driven all over the northwest to all the various car shows and Datsun club meets. And speaking of car shows, she has won at every show she has been to, forty-four in all (documented.)
Click on over to the Craigslist ad for the complete story on this fantastic 510.
I'd be afraid to own it because I know I wouldn't keep it stock. I'd have to start modding and racing it.
Agreed. I'm not worthy of a mint-all-original 510.
Strange, I actually saw this ad last night while cruising CL.
Man, this is too nice to be on Craigslist. The ad is perfectly well composed and the car is a stunner. I guess it makes sense, because this guy does not own a FREAKING COMPUTER! Get with the times, gramps!
/technophobe rant, my apologies.
I hope the seller is being picky who he sells this to. Too many people will want to mod it for racing, which is fine if this were a basketcase. However, stock 510s are becoming a rare breed and should be protected.
In fact, I think we should start an automotive version of UNICEF to protect helpless, pure cars like this.
Agreed, though at $13k im sure it won't go to just any neighborhood tuner down the street.
And that's CAD 13k. which depending on the day of the week of late is more than USD 13k.
