A Conquest For Sale, Tampa Area, Slightly Customized (Yea, Right!)

By Jim Brennan May 18, 2010

The only thing I have to say is what did this Chrysler Conquest (remember, this is a rebadged Mitsubishi Starion after all) do to deserve this fate. Yes, the body work is questionable, but wait until you see what else has been done to it.

The owner performed numerous body modifications to this unfortunate Conquest, and the results speak for themselves. There was also an engine transplant, in the form of a 4.9L Ford Windsor V-8. But why should I say anything, when the ad speaks volumes:

89 custom conquest – $4500 (tampa). sell for 4500 OBO i am olso open to trade my 1989 custom conquest, no other conquest on the planet like this one. Has custom everything, front end, rear end fender flairs, shaved door handles, possy traction, with a 5.0 HO motor. A real head turner!! any question call Chris at 813-XXX-XXXX.

You got to love possy traction.

  1. Possy traction? That's one letter away from something pretty naughty-sounding and perhaps useful, too. After all, nobody wants to slip at inopportune moments, right? As for the car, it looks better stock, and I'd much rather spend $4500 on a pristine and unmolested '89 Conquest/Starion (if there are any left).

  2. As much as I love to hate this car, it's probably pretty fun to drive.
    Provided no one's looking.
