We realize this isn’t Juniverse, but these were tough to pass up. After seeing the XJ-S Junior, reader Dr. Dangerously tipped us to The Harrington Group, an outfit that sells an assortment of stunning 1/2 scale electric replicas including a Porsche 356, Mercedes-Benz 300SL, E-Type, Flatfender Jeep and a Bugatti Type 35(ish) clone.
Oddly enough, they operate out of Vietnam. That may give the impression of some 2nd rate sweatshop, but their “About Us” page shows a dedicated team that really enjoys what they do. That and and the shop monkey, Pump-pump.
Check out the gallery below, then hit them up to see the cars in action or check out their mini-scooter section, too. Oh, and they make electric Isettas, too.

  1. The E-Type looks like it’s got tractor tires, that is a little odd. Kind of like taking the real thing and sticking some LT tires under it.

    1. Considering the scooter restorations that this outfit does, I’m guessing that they are Vietnamese scooter all terrain tires.

      1. Why stop there? I would so love to mow my lawn with a 300SL, spraying the clippings in my Lexus-driving neighbors’ driveway.

        1. That sounds like the makings of a Darwin Award candidate!

  2. Evidence that true douches are born, not made? I kid… I kid… that e-type is every inch as beautiful as its big sister, even with the funky tires.

    1. 50cc’s and under don’t need to be licensed in Virginia – and they don’t specifically state the motor needs to be connected to a 2 wheel vehicle. Hmmmmmm…new commuter car trend?

      1. MA has special registration for “limited use” vehicles (2 or more wheeled, can exceed 30 miles per hour but is not capable of exceeding 40 miles per hour). I could do a 150cc swap and drive it to work, but the way people drive around here I would be dead in a week.

      2. I’m pretty sure VA law says that if it has an engine, its fine as long as it doesn’t break 30mph. No registration, no nothing. Though if you go over 30, you’ll be rightly screwed.
Are these models RWD? That’d be amazing.
