Do I really have to tell you how great our readers are? Once again, we received these images sent to our tip line here at Hooniverse Central from Matthew (Thanks Man). The first shot is a Vintage Cadillac with a difference. Celebrating the Shooting Brake, I thought it was appropriate to show it. His second image? You will have to see it after the break.
As Matthew describes in his e-mail:
My dad saw this first generation FWD Eldorado in NY going to pick up a 2CV he had just bought, its a very well done custom. The other photo is the Citroen in the back of his truck.
Sounds like Matthew’s father is a true Hoon at heart!
That ElDo shooting brake is EPIC! These were actually made by the factory in '72 is a very limited 8-unit run. I wonder how many are left? Also, are the 2CV's rear wheel really just supported by the truck's tailgate? I knew those cars were light but, DAYUM!

Eight?!
Then this sighting is pretty remarkable
Careful inspection of the photo (there seems to be no 'embiggen' function, so there's that…) seems to reveal a 2CV wheel sized indention on the left side of the tail-gate. Based on Matthew's comment, that indention may have been created over time, not just during the loading of this particular piece of cargo.
There are more photos of cars in his truck here:http://www.flickr.com/photos/trabiguy/sets/721576… ,mostly Trabants.
Wow. An F-150 Club Cab can not only carry four French peasants and their eggs to market, it can carry their car, too! I feel proud to be an American right now.
This is all just too cool for words. That Eldo shooting brake is the stuff of dreams. How about if it were like an old Studebaker wagon, with a roof that pulled back and it was carrying the 2CV? I'd have a stroke or something.
Note that the 2cv is so light that it barely even depresses the pickup's rear suspension.
I bet, just because its the sad state of the world, that the Eldorado is on its way to the crusher. Yeah, I am pessimistic. Also, F250 FTW!
The truck in question is not an F150. It is a F250 or F350. I've been passed by these pulling 40' fifth wheel at 90 mph, so a little car in the bed shouldn't give someone pause.
Hi all, I'm Matthew's dad and notice the wheel wells are cut out of the F250. This truck has hauled many little cars across country at 90+mph. It has had several Trabants and a bug eye Sprite back there. Pictures on Flickr under 'Cars in pickup truck'.
