I always find it so incongruous to see a Town Car out on the highway.
Last Call indicates the end of Hooniverse’s broadcast day. It’s meant to be an open forum for anyone and anything. Thread jacking is not only accepted, it’s encouraged.

On a related subject: my grandparents’ series of Coupe and Sedan de Ville’s, ranging from my grandma’s ’88 Coupe through their current primary car of a 2010-ish DTS, have all been brilliant highway cruisers in spite of their name.

I want to know how a bus from Florida found its way to Europe.
-
Well, if you take the I4 and hit Daytona Beach really fast you might just aquaplane it.
-
I’m sure it all started with “a busload of…” and some mastermind who takes everything literal and doesn’t take no for an answer. I wonder if that trunk lid is operative?
Anyway, who has had a chance to touch and feel the Renault Talisman? I see it gets good reviews, and it is cheap.

If the design looks familiar…it’s Laurens van der Acker who’s in charge, the guy who made Mazda’s lineup the most beautiful in the marked.-
I never knew this even existed, is this a Laguna replacement?
-
Same here, took a friend’s Facebook post who is contemplating replacing a V70 with it to notice. It’s longer than the Superb! And, yes, it replaces the Laguna – a new start for big cars at Renault.

Wagons are back, which is nice. They’ll probably be powered by 1.5 litre self imploding microdiesels though..

On a completely different note.
Shouldn’t these signs be appearing everywhere now?

*As a teenager myself, I feel obligated to reply that not all of us are like that, and that it’s just as likely to be adult on their phone.*
The pictographic part of the sign is totally necessary, however.
My dad clears snow at a large airport in the winter, and it is surprising how many stories he has people, on their phones, walking right in front of whatever snow clearing machine he was driving at the time.
It really makes you wonder what is on those devices that is so important to those people that they are willing to risk mutilation instead of looking up.
-
So when he’s not clearing snow, what does your dad do the other 2 months of the year?
-
He works seasonal from about October to April clearing snow, and other odd jobs around the airport when there is no snow.
They rest of the year he raises cattle and farms a few quarter sections.
-
I bet he enjoys the variety of all the things he does whether it’s out of necessity or personal choice.
-
Oh, he certainly does.
Obviously, he’s the person who inspired my love of everything mechanical.

-
How will this sign work when the car drivers are equally focused on their cell phones?
-
In NZ, operating a phone while driving, unless by voice activation on a hands free kit, results in a big fine and license demerit points, if you’re caught. It’s classed as distracted driving.
-
There’s a similar law here (fine is $160 for first offense, I believe), but I’ve never heard of anyone ever being pulled over for it. I think it’s more for: “if you caused an accident and we can prove it’s because you were on the phone, we add $160”.

Maybe one of these “helped” it into the back of the bus.

Those Mercedes-Benz badges on a LM002 through me off for a bit.
A bit of Googling later, and…
Tina Turner owned a Rambo Lambo!?!?

She had to in order to get beyond the Nutbush city limits!
