Traditionally a happy little car, this white first gen Miata looks damn glad to meet you with its grille-mounted set of false teeth. With its pop-up lights exposed, mimicking eyes, it’s probably too adorable for words.

Needs more gold in the grill to be a playa.

OT:
I went to check out a Corvette-powered Lagonda today. But when I got to the dealer, they said it was no longer available. I am sad.

That is the automotive equivalent of a Hustler Magazine, specifically October 1983.
Tangent: What wheels should alternate reality Jim put on this car?
Tangent tangent: Guess how many Corvettes with Corvette sawblades are in the first 4 pages of an image search for 'sawblades'. Hint: it's one. Outnumbered by xBs, Accords, and actual saw blades with landscapes painted on them.
Jay: the pope likes valley girls?
File 'vintage porno mags' under 'things I would not touch for large amounts of money'
Tangent tangent tangent: I love C4 wheels on E36 BMWs.

Wow, you had unfortunate timing… I remember seeing that car in that showroom around 4 months ago. I recognize those wheels, but I didn't know it was Corvette powered…
Anything else interesting at the showroom? That place usually has some pretty interesting stuff.
Nothing else jumped out. It's kinda in the middle of nowhere.I'm now focused on a Lexus SC300 with a manual. Less than 4,000 sold here between 1992 and 1997. Got any leads?
Damn, I didn't realize they were that rare. Probably even less than haven't been turned into a drift car, donk, or VIPHerraMadFrushJDM stretch-wearing slam ride. I'll keep an eye/ear out though.
There is one on CL right now: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/3643927792.ht…
I'd be wary of that Attarco motor though… I've heard some horror stories…
I would prefer an all original version immaculately maintained by the original owner. Is that asking too much?
Yup.
OT:
I broke down and bought a set of Weathertech floormats for the Mustang. They've been advertising in Autoweek as long as I can remember and make a big deal about being an American manufacturer. Throw down some $$ and wait.
Get the package, they look great. Read the instructions, even translate the Spanish version in case there is something I missed.
The do not fit. The rears need to be cut to fit around the front seat brackets. The fronts do not fit in the foot wells. For what I paid, these should fit like Bruno Magli's instead of galoshes. Call me disappoint.
Did you make sure to specify the Mustang car as opposed to the plane?
Did anyone notice they changed the lady model in those ads a few years ago? Because I did.
My brother got a set for his 01 Camero Camaro and they fit pretty well. He had to heat them up to get them to lay properly due to the weird transmission tunnel on 4th Gen F-Bodys.
Must be one of the most ham-fisted-est Miata front plate installations ever (on that poor white car)..
All I see is a pair of tiny nostrils.

Exactly what I Thought when I saw the pic
I relish, lead to I discovered just what I used to be taking
a look for. You’ve ended my 4 day long hunt!
God Bless you man. Have a great day. Bye
